Why this blog

I have been gluten free for the last few months. I am enjoying the life style but have found there are very few blogs about being gluten free and working on losing weight.

Before I got diganosed with the Gluten/Wheat intolerance I gained 60 lbs from my lowest weight. It devastated me completely because I thought I had escaped planet fat. What I didn't know is that when I started eating "normal" foods again the weight gain was from the gluten issues.

Now that I have been working on my gluten issues now the battle of relosing that weight again has begun. Many gluten free recipes are very high in carbohydrates and sugar to make up for the wheat products. I am going to post recipes here that are gluten free and low in fat/calories.

Since I have been focusing on losing weight and being gluten free I have lost 17 lbs. I still have many more to go but it is a start in the right dirction.
